Bavarian Inn Willkommen :)
Wallpaper Description:
The city of Frankenmuth, Michigan is located in Saginaw County. (For those of us accustomed to using our hand as a point of reference, that is just to the left of the thumb on the edge of the Michigan mitten.)Frankenmuth was settled and named in 1845 by Lutheran immigrants from Franconia (now part of Bavaria) in Germany. One of the things that makes Frankenmuth such an interesting place to visit is the German influence that can be seen in the city's architecture and culture. In fact, one of Frankenmuth's nicknames is Little Bavaria.
This friendly wood carved sign was created for the Bavarian Inn on Main Street at the Schnitzelbank Shop in 1978. This round sign and its willkommen (welcome) tag are mounted on a speckled wall. I designed an alternate wall to the speckled one for this wallpaper.
I've always loved carved wood. The people who made this sign did a beautiful job!

Here is a link to a mural with 2 children in it, also located in the Bavarian Inn:
