Autumn

Autumn or Fall is one of the four temperate seasons. Autumn marks the transition from summer into winter, in September (Northern Hemisphere) or March (Southern Hemisphere) when the arrival of night becomes noticeably earlier.
In North America, autumn is usually considered to start with the September equinox. In traditional East Asian solar term, autumn starts on or around 8 August and ends on about 7 November. In Ireland, the autumn months are September, October and November.In Australia, autumn officially begins on 1 March and ends 31 May.

Wallpaper Description:

This is sort of a "bonus" wallpaper that I had NOT planned on uploading. Why? Because I wasn't expecting Michigan's first snowfall to be this soon!

Two days ago on Friday, November 9th, we got our first snow. I had mixed feelings about it; I love the beautiful Autumn colors and I'm not ready for Winter yet. This snow showed up two weeks earlier than normal! I have to admit that taking pictures of it was fun though.

PS. You can tell that the flowers weren't ready for this either...you can see them hanging under the lantern looking rather forlorn.
