Who Turned Out the Lights (This Time)???

In this case it was Mother Nature... Our area got hit with a series of thunderstorms. I woke up at 5:30AM, got up to get a drink of water, and turned on a light-- only nothing happened. Our power was out.

My parents, who live about 3 miles away from me invited us to come over to get away from 90 degree heat. But one hour later they called to say that they had just lost their power too.

Actually we were extremely fortunate. It took us only 16 hours to get our power back this time--- and people in other states have been without power for almost a week!

My parents are still without power and the temperature is supposed to reach 100 degrees tomorrow. We will invite them over tomorrow to escape the heat. The weather in the United States has been crazy lately!
