Katie: A 6 Month old Smooth Collie Puppy (in 2011)

This is Katie a few days after we brought her home for the first time. She was a 6 month tricolor smooth collie puppy. She was our 4th collie. All of the other collies we've owned were at least 5 years old when we got them. We got Katie, unexpectedly, when her breeder needed to downsize her kennels. We were looking for a new collie but not necessarily such a young one.

This photo brings back good memories of her younger days.... when she used to chase moths around the yard, dig holes, tree squirrels, and chew up pens and pencils up if they happened to fall on the floor and we didn't see them. She was very good at getting into trouble and drove me crazy at times! Yet, because of her talent for finding trouble, I have some very funny and endearing memories of her. I will never, ever, regret having her in my life.
