Easy Viewing

05-21-13 UPDATE: BRIGHTER WALLPAPERS NOW ALLOWED. :D :D :D :D :D CHANGES LISTED BELOW

Welcome to “Easy Viewing."

What we are looking for in general, is wallpapers that are icon friendly. In other words, a practical wall that will enable people’s icons to show easily, but have attractiveness and style as well.

Walls in this group should have some or all of the following characteristics.

Low contrast muted patterns or images

Blurred backgrounds

A solid background with a small logo on it, or a border down a side of a solid wallpaper.

Solid colored walls are fine. Brighter and pale colors are fine also, as long as there are no sharp contrasts in them.

Walls with a small brighter splash of color or colors.

Walls with several colors are fine as long as the hues and patterns don't cause icons to be hard to read.

January 25, 2015 Hi all... I am going to stop moderating submissions now, and see how it goes. I'll be checking often, to make sure that walls fit in well. Happily, most of them have. : )

Wallpaper Description:

The dingo is a free-ranging dog found mainly in Australia.

Its exact ancestry is debated, but dingoes are generally believed to be descended from semi-domesticated dogs from Asia or India, which returned to a wild lifestyle when introduced to Australia.

As such, it is currently classified as a subspecies of the grey wolf.

The Australian name has therefore sometimes been applied to similar dogs in South-East Asia, believed to be close relations.

As free-ranging animals, they are not considered tame, although tame dingoes and dingo-dog hybrids have been bred.

The dingo's habitat ranges from deserts to grasslands and the edges of forests.

Dingoes will normally make their dens in deserted rabbit holes and hollow logs close to an essential supply of water.

The dingo is the largest terrestrial predator in Australia, and plays an important role as an apex predator.

However, the dingo is seen as a pest by livestock farmers due to attacks on animals.

Conversely, their predation on rabbits, kangaroos and rats may be of benefit to graziers.

For many Australians, the dingo is a cultural icon.

The dingo is seen by many as being responsible for thylacine extinction on the Australian mainland about two thousand years ago, although a recent study challenges this view.

Dingoes have a prominent role in the culture of Aboriginal Australians as a feature of stories and ceremonies, and they are depicted on rock carvings and cave paintings.

Despite being an efficient hunter, it is listed as vulnerable to extinction due to its susceptibility to genetic pollution: interbreeding with domestic dogs which could dilute its unique adaptations to the Australian environment.

Compared to most domestic dogs, the bark of a dingo is short and monosyllabic, and is rarely used.
