Easy Viewing

05-21-13 UPDATE: BRIGHTER WALLPAPERS NOW ALLOWED. :D :D :D :D :D CHANGES LISTED BELOW

Welcome to “Easy Viewing."

What we are looking for in general, is wallpapers that are icon friendly. In other words, a practical wall that will enable people’s icons to show easily, but have attractiveness and style as well.

Walls in this group should have some or all of the following characteristics.

Low contrast muted patterns or images

Blurred backgrounds

A solid background with a small logo on it, or a border down a side of a solid wallpaper.

Solid colored walls are fine. Brighter and pale colors are fine also, as long as there are no sharp contrasts in them.

Walls with a small brighter splash of color or colors.

Walls with several colors are fine as long as the hues and patterns don't cause icons to be hard to read.

January 25, 2015 Hi all... I am going to stop moderating submissions now, and see how it goes. I'll be checking often, to make sure that walls fit in well. Happily, most of them have. : )

Wallpaper Description:

Photo Alan Holiday
From around 100 million years ago during the Cretaceous period countless skeletons of plankton began to drift to the bottom of a tropical sea here Over the course of roughly 35 million years this process formed a thick blanket of white limestone known as chalk At this time the ecosystems of the world were under pressure Life was vulnerable struggling with natural changes in global climate
Disaster came 65 million years ago when an asteroid six miles across crashed into the Gulf of Mexico In the cataclysm that followed around 75% of species were wiped out including the dinosaurs This event brought the Mesozoic Era to a close and made the world we recognise today a possibility After the extinction event mammals freed from the tyranny of the dinosaurs rose to dominate the world We are their descendants possessed of the unique ability to transport ourselves back to those ancient days with little more than a white cliff face and our imagination
