Wallpaper Description:
[I Am Not Afraid by Commandwolf713]http://commandwolf713.deviantart.com
A very good, crisp and sharp painting (sharp skills and execution) which was dedicated to Ulquihime shippers; to illustrate their hopes about this pairing done by the fans (of Bleach) alone
There are three ways I see this painting:
1. THE ULQUIHIME ANGLE (and the intention of this painting):
As a dramatic statement about Ulquiorra's death, wherein each one of them reaches for the other, not only beyond space and time, but also in the sense of love overcoming even death...they are still together...that's how I interpret this painting (because three other Ulquihime paintings entitled "Don't Fade Away", "Stay with Me" and "Never Let You Go" made me cry...)
2. There is that sense of yes, striving to "Reach out and touch someone" (I think that was the old AT&T commercial...or was it Hallmark?? LoL)...I actually remembered that slogan too when I saw this painting.
Not to mention that there's also a SONG that has the lyrics "Reach out and touch somebody's hand..." performed by Diana Ross
3. Last but certainly NOT the least, there is a general romantic sense that impresses one when looking at this work of art...that when you love someone, you always try to be present in that person's life somehow, to reach out with the reassurance of your love (hmm...read my journal if you will, there's something of this nature there entitled "My Message to My Crush/My Love").
Well, it's not specifically shown in this image, but I'll add something about failed relationships (I'm talking about divorce and such other lost causes) that love never dies, it just changes form...
So as an example...My feelings for my ex named Wolf (no connection to the painter of this picture) are still one of caring, but in the brother-sister sense...maybe still arguing with annoyance but definitely no longer romantic and wistful at all.
