Fantasy Girls

Unrealistic settings, or magic, often set in a medieval universe, or possibly involving mythical beings or supernatural forms as a primary element of the plot, theme, or setting. Something magical is almost always part of fantasy and magic may be seen in the setting . It may even be practiced by the characters.

Wallpaper Description:

Recently, Disney, the company which owns the rights to the images of Ariel, The Little Mermaid became very STRICT about FAN ART. ONLY DISNEY can distribute images of Ariel with red hair and a green tail. If people are FANS and they want to make FAN ART, the specifications are RED HAIR and a BLUE TAIL. Aqua, which is a blue that's almost green, is also allowed. So is the combination green and blue for the tail. This is why you see lots of fan art with Ariel having an aqua blue or blue tail. This was Disney's specification for fan art and they may choose to litigate or sue otherwise. They don't want Ariel portrayals by other artists to ride on the popularity of their Ariel.

I constrained to make that note because I am being challenged here, as though I'm threatening the "total downloads" of someone. I told her that if Disney saw her upload of Ariel, as above, with a GREEN TAIL, they're not going to like it, nor her. Anyway, to each his own, I just want to respect their guidelines on not using their exact specifications of Ariel. There are also restrictions on portraying Sebastian but the rules on Ariel fan art are the focus of Disney. They reserve the rights to a mermaid with red hair and a green tail.

I don't want to be political here on DN. We're just uploading beautiful art without minding others. I hope the person challenging me to remove my uploads isn't jealous or threatened, as if my uploads will affect her total number of downloads. I'm now afraid I will have to put sad notes like this every time I'm challenged by someone. Please be less insecure. We can coexist here with friendliness and respect. Besides, DN allowed the uploads. I have had rejects and they are the EXACT duplicates of wallpapers.

My policy in my DN uploads is respect for original works of the artists and respect for big business's copyright restrictions (like Disney's). Sometimes people do reversals because they don't have the original artist's permission to distribute. I'm not saying this is the case with anyone who challenges me but please, let's respect the original works too. They were allowed by DN, but most of all, they're allowed by the original artists themselves.

WALLPAPER DESCRIPTION:

It is said that when mermaids cry their tears are actual pearls - these can be gathered for their beauty, strung and used for happier occasions!
