Wallpaper Description:

A couple of years ago, I spotted this female Eastern Tiger Swallowtail at a Nature Center about 3 miles from my home.

She was resting, with wings outstretched, by the path. Much to my surprise, she didn't fly away when I approached. I discovered that she had been injured, possibly by a hungry bird. After I took several photographs of her, I moved her gently to a less visible area.

I consider myself very fortunate to find this butterfly and to be able to share her beauty in this wallpaper.
