Wallpaper Description:

To me the very best thing about Autumn in Michigan is the colorful leaves! I took a break from computer hues for awhile, and used nothing but Autumn Leaves (and some sky) to make these colored designs. All of the leaves are from photographs that I took this year.
I made it my goal to have at least parts of recognizable Autumn leaves in each of these designs. Silver, Red, Sugar, and Norway maple leaves are prominent in these designs because tend to be very vividly colored. But I used many types of others also, including leaves of sassafras, beech, Eastern cottonwood, elm leaves and white and red oak leaves. If they had interesting shapes or beautiful colors, they were in!

I had a lot of trouble with this wallpaper. It took me much more work than any of the others did. I tried things with this one repeatedly that didn't look right. But I refused to give up, and I finally got something that I liked.

There are pieces of red maple tree leaves in it. There are bits of oak and beach leaves. There are pale green leaves in it and large pieces of darker green tired leaves with holes in them. In fact, if I had uploaded this particular photo as a straight wallpaper, it would have looked plain and very ordinary.

I identify with this wallpaper. I, like these leaves, am full of holes and flaws. But God can take an ordinary flaw filled person like me and transform them into something worthwhile, just like I was able to do with my computer and a kaleidoscope tool.

God created the leaves that I used. He guided my hands, eyes, and heart as I created this wallpaper. I am dedicating this one to Him.
