1956 Chrysler 300B
Wallpaper Description:
Muscle cars: 20 that made historyChrysler got into the horsepower race by introducing the Hemi V8 engine in 1954 and installing it in the midsize 300 sedan in '55. However, the '56 Chrysler 300B was especially significant because it was the first American car to produce one horsepower per cubic inch. The Hemi engine grew to 354 cubic inches in 1956 and made 355 horses when ordered with optional dual carburetors and a 10:1 compression ratio. Zero to 60 arrived in about nine seconds, and the '56 model, like the '55, dominated NASCAR racing. A total of 1,102 were sold.
