1968 Dodge Charger
Wallpaper Description:
Muscle cars: 20 that made historyThe second-generation Dodge Charger made its debut in 1968 with a sumptuous Coke-bottle shape. Under the hood, the Charger R/T boasted the 440-cubic-inch 375-horsepower Magnum V8 engine, while the 426-cubic-inch 425-horsepower Hemi V8 was optional. In Car and Driver magazine testing, the Hemi Charger turned in a 6.0-second zero-to-60 mph run and a 13.5-second quarter-mile. The Charger appeared in one of the greatest car-chase scenes of all time as the bad guy's car in the movie "Bullitt," and about a decade later a '69 Charger would become a TV star as the hopped-up General Lee in "The Dukes of Hazzard."
