Muscle Cars

Celebrating the coolest cars ever made, nothing like the sound of that engine when you turn that key.

Muscle car is an American term used to refer to a variety of high-performance automobiles. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines muscle cars as "any of a group of American-made 2-door sports cars with powerful engines designed for high-performance driving." A large V8 engine is fitted in a 2 or 4 door, rear wheel drive, family-style full-size car designed for four or more passengers. Sold at an affordable price, muscle cars are intended for street use and occasional drag racing. They are distinct from two-seat sports cars and expensive 2+2 GTs intended for high-speed touring and road racing.

Wallpaper Description:

This ’65 Mustang has been in Chris Spicer’s family since the early ’70s. His grandfather bought it for Chris’ mom and aunt to drive around while they were in high school. Mom was in a little accident, so grandpa confiscated the car and parked it for 10 years. He would start to tinker with it again and take Chris for rides once in a while. This jump-started Chris’ interest in Mustangs. That’s when Chris bought, built, and raced a 600hp ’97 Mustang Cobra, and restored a ’93 Fox-body Mustang with grandpa’s inspiration. In 2005, the ’65 was handed down to Chris. Conveniently, Chris worked for a classic Mustang restoration company so he could get right to work on this sentimental piece. He sold both his other Mustangs in order to re-create and preserve his new old car. The factory small-block made way for a 347ci stoker putting out 450 hp. Chris put in a C4 automatic and 9-inch rearend to support the new power. He has a lot more to do but he wants to keep the car looking as factory as he can so he’s keeping the bench seat and the carburetor
