Strange HoveringClouds, Near Las Vegas / Area 51

This photo was taken in Nevada near Las Vegas and Area 51. I first noticed this cloud formation when I was leaving the area of the Grand Canyon. When I first noticed these clouds, it appeared as three clouds stacked on top of one another. The larger cloud was on the top and the cloud in the middle was slightly smaller and the bottom cloud was even smaller. This cloud caught my attention because it appeared to be hovering over a certain area instead of just floating across the sky like other clouds. I wish that I had taken a picture then but it was dangerous to do while driving. As time went on, the clouds looked like they started to descend and fall apart downward. Starting with the cloud on the bottom and then the middle one and so on. This photo was taken several hours later while I was a passenger in the car, but it appeared to be hovering over the same spot. Once I got near Las Vegas, I realized that this cloud was hovering over Area 51.
