A Confusing (but Pretty) Tree
Wallpaper Description:
On March 1st, my area of Michigan got walloped with 7 inches of unusually heavy wet snow. Snowflakes averaged 1/2 inch in diameter. (1.27 centimeters.) People struggled to get their cars through thick mucky slush. Large tree limbs were weighed down low to the ground; many eventually snapped and broke. I was overjoyed to get home safely from work! That night, a lot of the snow froze in the tree tops froze solid. The next day the ice started melting and crashing to the ground. It made quite a racket, especially when I had to go somewhere in my car and lots of ice fell on it!
The trees were beautiful! I took many photos of them. The 3 I'm uploading today were hard to choose. Too many pretty ones!

PS. I guess I'd better explain why I find this tree confusing. Although it's a silver maple tree, at first glance, I thought it was a birch tree-- especially before some of the snow started to melt off of it. By the time I got to take this photo, much of the snow and ice had either melted off or fallen off, but I think you can still see why it made me think of a white barked birch tree. One more thing also... if you enlarge the wallpaper, you can see buds on it, that made me think of Spring, not Winter!
